Welcome to the Villages of the Muir Forest. Most living here are content living their simple day-to-day lives, in the small pocket of the world they call home. “Who in their right mind would want to become an Adventurer,” most villagers would say, “Leaving the comfort of your home; never knowing where your travels will take you.” However, there are those among the villagers who dare to dream of a world larger than their home village. There are those who desire to explore the vast world, even if it means falling off the edge of the world (most believe the world is flat and if you travel too far you will fall off the edge of the world).
This is where ‘Fantastic Adventures and the Disgruntled Gong Farmer’ starts. The characters are villagers, tired of living their mundane lives, who aspire for a life greater than the lives they are living. The characters are willing to risk everything, even their own lives, to become Adventurers. Their first step is to take the King’s Challenge, a magical dungeon created by a powerful Mage-King a long time ago. The risks of the King’s Challenge are great; but, for some the risks are worth taking, as success brings with it the transformation into 1st level characters.
